INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON GIS APPLICATIONS IN GEOGRAPHY AND GEOSCIENCES
Dear Colleagues;
International Symposium on GIS Applications in Geography and Geosciences (ISGGG), organised by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, will take place on October 18-21, 2017 in Çanakkale, Turkey. The overall theme of the symposium is to assemble researches applied Geographical Information Systems in various fields such as geography, geology, archaeology, ecology, forestry, tourism, planning, etc., and hence providing opportunity for the participants to exchange their new ideas and experiences, recent research results and find global partners for future collaboration.
The accepted abstracts and full text studies will be published in symposium proceeding book. Oral presentations during the symposium will be made in English and in Turkish.
Concurrently with the symposium, a certificate programme of "UAV for GIS" will be organized on Thursday, October 19, 2017. In the certificate program, theoretical and practical trainings will be provided to produce digital terrain model, digital elevation model and orthophoto products with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles, which are used as a base in Geographic Information Systems applications.
